IT Raid Continues for Second Day on Minister DK Shivakumar; Documents, Cash Seized

Bengaluru: Officials from Income Tax (IT) department have continued their raid for the second day on Thursday today at all residences and offices of Karnataka Energy Minister, Congress leader DK Shivakumar located in Bengaluru, other parts of Karnataka and New Delhi.
The IT department reportedly seized important documents, records from the offices and residences of the minister on Thursday also. Documents, records of properties worth Rs 15 crore, cash of Rs 10 crore and a cheque worth Rs 5 crore were reportedly taken into the custody by the IT officials.
Raid is also being conducted for the second day on the residences of close associates, relatives of the minister located in Mysuru, Bengaluru and other parts of the state. Documents related to fake companies have also been found at the houses of close associates of the minister on August 3.
No persons have been permitted to enter the residences of the minister also no one has been entitled to go out of all the residences and offices of the Congress leader.
The officials were seen verifying the documents at the residences and offices of the minister located in New Delhi and various parts of Karnataka since Wednesday morning. As many 80 officers, 150 cars have been involved in the IT operation at 64 different locations in Karnataka and New Delhi.
