It’s fake, claims Nanda Kishore about Darshan’s viral photo with cigarette in jail

Bengaluru: Following the viral photo of actor Darshan, who is jailed in connection with the Renukaswamy murder case, suggesting he is enjoying royal treatment in Parappana Agrahara, questions have been raised about the prison administration.
Despite being in jail for a murder case, Darshan appears unfazed, sitting comfortably with known rowdies like Wilson Garden Nag, Kulla Seena, and the 11th accused Nagaraj, holding a cigarette and a coffee cup. This has raised many an eyebrow.
In response to the controversy, director Nanda Kishore, elder brother of director Tarun Sudhir, stated that the photo of Darshan smoking in jail is fake.
“This is just a moment captured. What matters is his mental state inside the jail. Couldn’t someone take a picture of him while he is deeply introspective? Couldn’t someone capture him feeling dejected?” he asked.
Speaking about Darshan’s company, he said, “The place where Darshan is, is not meant for saints. In a high-security zone, some people sit together and do something. It’s not right to say he is receiving royal treatment,” Nanda Kishore said.
“This is the era of AI technology. After AI, morphed photos have become more common. Even leaders who are not with us anymore can be featured in films. I believe this photo is fake,” he added.
It is speculated that Darshan could be transferred to Belagavi Hindalga Jail soon.
