New Delhi: BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi has accused former Bihar chief minister Lalu Yadav of trying to poach MLAs of the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the state by promising them ministerial berths.
“Lalu Yadav making telephone call (8051216302) from Ranchi to NDA MLAs and promising ministerial berths”, tweeted Sushil Kumar Modi while tagging the media.
An audio clip, allegedly of the Rashtriya Janata Dal chief promising a ministerial post to a BJP MLA if abstained from the Speaker’s election in the Bihar assembly has gone viral.
“You support us during the Bihar Assembly Speaker election and we will bring the NDA government down. We will appoint you as a minister,” Lalu is alleged to have told the BJP MLA.
Responding to Lalu’s offer, the BJP MLA was heard hesitatingly saying “I am in the party”, to that the RJP supremo allegedly replied, “Party me ho to absent ho jao, corona ho gaya tha”.
