Janata curfew: Rotary club distributes food to stranded travelers
Team Udayavani, Mar 22, 2020, 2:54 PM IST
Mangaluru: As Mangaluru witnessed total shut down on Sunday, March 22 with all the hotels, the market remaining close and vehicles off the road, few travelers who had come to the city’s KSRTC bus stand have been stuck in the bus stand without anything to eat or anywhere to go.
However, Rotary club members have lent a helping hand to these travelers by distributing free food. Most of the people who are stranded are elderly people, informed sources.
The Janata Curfew called on by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been duly adhered to by the residents of the districts of Dakshina Kannada with almost everything coming to a standstill.
