Bengaluru: Opposition leader Siddaramaiah on March 28 said that the failure to find the woman involved in the CD case shows that the State’s police department has collapsed completely.
“The State government and the police department’s failure are responsible for bringing infamy to Karnataka nationally in the CD case. It is a shame that the police have not been able to locate the woman even after 26 days. Is she Vijay Mallya or Nirav Modi?,” he tweeted.
“In order to find a logical conclusion to the investigation, the victim must come out and give her statement to the police. Who is preventing her from exercising her rights?” he added.
“The statements given by her through her video recordings gives the impression that she has no faith in the State government or the police. She is speaking in the sense that the police are conspiring against her. Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai should look into the matter,” he said.
“The woman is constantly issuing video statements to the media from an unknown location, sending the complaint to the police through her lawyer and is also speaking with her father. However, the police are unable to get their hands on her,” Siddaramaiah criticised.
The police dept & @BJP4Karnataka govt are responsible for pledging the pride of Karnataka in front of the whole country in the CD case.
It is shameful that police could not trace the CD victim even after 20 days.
