Bengaluru: The newly formed Congress JD(S) coalition government is allegedly running into troubles over formation of the government.

It has been alleged that the two parties are discussing over appointment of candidate for the post of the Speaker in the Assembly. It is said that the Congress leaders have started asserting that the post of the Speaker must be left to them as the Chief Minister Post has been given to the JD(S).

And the JD(S) party has demanded to retain the Speaker’s position.

The Congress suggests senior leader Ramesh Kumar to become the Speaker, while JD(S) is hoping for AT Ramaswamy for this post.

The Congress, which has promised support initially, has now made various demands. “The Congress has, in clear terms said that the JD(S) should refrain from making unilateral decision,” said a source.
