JDS leader Pilla Munishamappa resigns as Devanahalli MLA

Bengaluru: In an unexpected development for JDS, Devanahalli MLA, JDS leader Pilla Munishamappa has resigned as MLA and JDS party membership on Thursday. According to the sources, his resignation came in the wake of inclusion of Nisarga Narayana Swamy who was joined JDS earlier this week. Nisarga Narayana Swamy is a rival of Munishamappa in Devanahalli constituency. 

The MLA has resigned for his membership in the state legislature on Thursday by submitting his resignation to legislative assembly speaker  K B Koliwad. Speaking to reporters, Koliwad has said that, “according to the rules and regulations the resignation will be examined for further action.” Meanwhile, JDS is trying its best not to lose a leader amid party strengthening efforts in Karnataka state.
