JD(S) to contest in Ramanagara and Mandya constituencies

Bengaluru: Congress party on Tuesday let the coalition partner JD(S) to contest in Ramanagara and Mandya constituencies. 

Despite strong resistence from Congress leaders of Ramanagara and Mandya, the Congress party leaders decided to give it to JD(S) party.

Addressing the media, Congress leader from here mentioned that there were strong opposition from the local leaders regarding the decision taken and also that some of the leaders warned that the party would be ruining itself by backing the JD(S) in these seats.

Sources claimed that the party had shortlisted former minister, Kimmane Rathnakar and former CADA chairman Chandrashekar for the a Lok Sabha seat and B. Ramprasad, brother of Congress MLA B. Nagendra and Y. Nettakallappa for the Ballari LS seat.
