Mysuru: Former chief minister H D Kumaraswamy on Saturday said that the JDS party will face the by-elections in 15 constituencies independently.
Addressing presspersons here he said that his party will contest the by-elections in 15 constituencies independently and win eight to ten assembly segments.
He further added, “JD(S) party workers maintained distance from me as we formed the government with Congress. I formed the government with the support of Congress only to waive off the farmers’ loan.”
“For Congress, JD(S) is the first enemy than BJP. State Congress leaders have decided not to join hands with JD(S) and even we don’t desire to make an alliance with Congress,” he said.
By-elections for 15 seats in Karnataka will be held on October 21 announced Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora at a press conference here.
The counting of votes will be held on October 24.
The elections have been necessitated as the MLAs of these constituencies have been disqualified by the then Speaker Ramesh Kumar.
