Jeweller gets extortion call from caller claiming to be Ravi Poojary

Mangaluru: A city-based jeweller has registered an FIR with the Barke Police alleging extortion threat from a caller claiming to be gangster Ravi Poojary

The complainant Raveendra Shet, in his complaint, claimed that the unknown caller had initially called him on October 30 evening and asked to speak to his son, Sharath Shet. Later on November 1 and 5 the caller called Sharath on his mobile and threatened him to pay money or face adverse consequences, he stated.

Further, it is mentioned that the caller threatened other members of Shet family and even made extortion calls on the landline of the jewellery firm.
