Bengaluru: A man on Saturday, August 1 filed a complaint alleging that jewelry worth Rs. 85 lakh kept in his bank locker was missing.
The man in question is Shivaprasad, a businessman from JP Nagar.
As per sources, Shivaprasad has three lockers at Jayanagar’s Branch of Baroda. He has taken some of the ornaments from the locker for the wedding anniversary on February 24, however, after the announcement of COVID-19, he was unable to go to the bank to keep the gold in the locker again.
As the lockdown lifted, he went to the bank a few days ago to see that few of the gold ornaments were missing from the locker. Following the incident, he has lodged a complaint alleging that 73 grams of gold worth 85 lakh has been stolen from the locker.
The police have lodged an FIR against bank employees and investigating the case.
