Jaipur: Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani today held dialogues with Dalit families in Rajasthan about the violence during Bharat Bandh on April 2.
He claimed that many Dalits were brutally beaten up by police during the bandh.
“The government needs to create infrastructure and job opportunities for youths. Dalits are facing atrocities but nobody is ready to hear their grievances,” Mevani told reporters here.
“A man was killed in police firing in Alwar on April 2 and I also met his family members,” said the Independent legislator from Vadgam constituency in Gujarat.
