Jog falls: Young man attempts suicide; rescued

Shivamogga: An incident where a young man who attempted to commit suicide and being rescued occurred at Jog falls in Sagar taluk on Wednesday, August 26.
The young man was identified as Chetan from Bengaluru.
Chetan, who works in the real estate industry, was depressed for being without work from months after the lockdown began.
Staff at the British bungalow informed the police after seeing the man approaching the tip of the Jog falls. Emergency service workers police arrived at the scene immediately and managed to rescue the young man.
Police later took him to the station for further inquiries.
