Journalist killed in road accident

Davangere: In a tragic accident, a senior reporter of died on Wednesday after his two-wheeler collided with a tractor near Kodeknur near Davangere.

The deceased M C Manjunath (30), was working as Haveri district reporter for Prajavani.

It is gathered that the accident took place when Manjunath was on his way to his sister’s house in Holalkere. The driver of the tractor managed to flee the scene along with his vehicle.

He is survived by his father, mother, sister and a brother.

A case in this regard has been registered with the local police and investigation in this regard is on.

Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa condoled the death Manjunatha.
