Journalist shot by men on bike

Patna: Days after Journalist Gauri Lankesh was killed outside her residence in Bengaluru, another Journalist was attacked in Bihar.

Journalist Pankaj Mishra was shot at in Arwal district. Mishra, working for Rashtriya Sahara newspaper, is said to be critical. He has been referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital in the state’s capital.

The SP of Arwal, however, termed it as a robbery incident. “The two miscreants, robbed him, and escaped after firing at him. One of the criminals Kundan Mahto, who belonged to the local village, was later apprehended,” said the SP.
