Journalists’ Union new president Srinivas Nayak Indaje

Mangaluru: Srinivas Nayak Indaje has been elected as the new president of Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Union after he secured 155 votes in a direct contest against Guruvappa Balepuni who secured 97 votes.

The election was held at the office of the District Information Officer and during the election, Ansar Innoli and Sharath Shetty Kinnigoli were also elected as Vice Presidents from among four candidates. 

Srinivas Nayak Indaje

Srinivas Nayak Indaje is a veteran TV journalist and was earlier the local correspondent of erstwhile channel UdayaTV News. Since the last two decades, he has been actively involved with Dakshina Kannada District Working Journalists’ Union and had served as its office bearer in various capacities. He has also been honoured with the ‘Outstanding Journalist Award’ by the Mangalore Chapter of Junior Chamber International (JCI) in 2010.
