Jupiter, Saturn, & the Moon will align to form a Triangle on Friday night

Team Udayavani, Sep 25, 2020, 12:08 PM IST

Earlier, in august, Jupiter, Saturn, and the moon came together in the night sky. The bright planet Jupiter appeared about 5 degrees to the upper left of the Moon and Saturn a bit farther to the left.

Now, it’s happening again this month on the night of September 25. However, unlike last month, the close encounter between Jupiter and the moon and the one between Saturn and the moon are happening just hours apart, making for a tight triangle formation

Also, in the same night, stars will form a triangle. Stars Vega, Deneb, and Altair will draw a triangle shape in the sky. This alignment of stars, which have bright light, are known as summer triangle
