Bengaluru: Justice P. S. Dinesh Kumar of the Karnataka High Court has been appointed the executive chairman of the Karnataka State Legal Services Authority (KSLSA).
Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot has issued an order appointing Justice Dinesh Kumar to the post.
Justice Dinesh Kumar has served as a Judge of Karnataka High Court since 2015. Now, he has been appointed as the Chairman of Karnataka State Legal Services Authority.
Established under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, KSLSA aims to provide free and competent Legal Services to the weaker sections of society. Its objective is to ensure that opportunities for securing justice are not denied to any citizen by reason of economic or other disabilities. KSLSA also periodically organizes Lok Adalats.
