Bengaluru: The Karnataka Examinations Authority announced crucial details for candidates appearing in the K-SET examination scheduled for January 13.
In a press release issued on Wednesday, KEA Executive Director, S. Ramya emphasized that candidates must download their admit cards from http://kea.kar.nic.in. The admit card, along with a government-issued identity card, is mandatory for entry to the examination center. Candidates are required to appear only at the center specified in their admit card and must bring two recent photographs.
The examination will take place in two sessions, from 10 AM to 11 AM and 12 PM to 2 PM, with strict instructions that candidates cannot leave the examination center between sessions. Any inaccuracies in entering registration number, subject code, or examination center code on the OMR sheet will result in non-evaluation of answer sheets.
Strict dress code
A stringent dress code has been enforced to maintain the integrity of the examination process. Male candidates are required to wear a half-sleeved shirt and plain trousers without high pockets. Clothing and shoes with zip pockets, large buttons, and elaborate embroidery are prohibited. Additionally, male candidates should refrain from wearing any accessories such as necklaces, earrings, rings, and bracelets.
Female candidates are prohibited from wearing attire with excessive embroidery, flowers, brooches, buttons, full sleeves blouse/dress, jeans pants, and sandals/shoes with thick soles. Except for mangalsutra and anklets, no other jewelry is allowed.
Prohibited items
The examination authority has outlined a list of prohibited items, including Bluetooth devices, mobile phones, electronic devices, pen drives, earphones, wristwatches, microphones, pencils, erasers, geometry boxes, log tables, hats, and masks.
The authority has affirmed its commitment to conducting the examination transparently, emphasizing the importance of adhering to these guidelines for a smooth and fair evaluation process. Candidates are urged to meticulously follow the specified instructions to avoid any complications during the K-SET examination.
