Kacha Badam: Song sung by peanut vendor becomes social media sensation

It’s understandable that if someone told us a year ago that a song about peanuts would become viral on social media, we wouldn’t believe them. However, in just one month, 2022 has accomplished this unthinkable achievement, and in spectacular fashion! The song ‘Kacha Badam’ is one of the year’s first social media sensations and most popular tunes.
Popular dancers and influencers are now shaking a leg to the sounds of this popular tune, which is raking in views by the minute. But how did the Kacha Badam song come to be in the first place? What caused it to become such a sensation?
This song was created by Bhuban Badyakar, a peanut vendor from West Bengal’s Birbhum region, as a marketing strategy to sell peanuts.
A YouTube channel called ‘Ektara’ was the first to capture and share the Kacha Badam song. Badyakar’s humble melody has racked up over 21 million views in just two months. Here’s the original Kacha Badam song, which hasn’t been edited:
The Kacha Badam song’s viral video on YouTube quickly spread to other sites, including Instagram. Nazmu Reachat, a singer and musician, then developed a fun remix of Badyakar’s songs, which got the internet dancing. He’s been getting more bookings from all around Bengal, and he’s even been writing election campaign songs for the ruling party, the Trinamool Congress.
Unfortunately, the enormous crowds and million views are insufficient to cover his bills, with which he continues to suffer. He’s been attempting to get out of his ‘kacha’ house and into a more permanent residence. He also wants to make a better life for himself and his family.
