Kadaba: A student accidentally drowned in the rivulet near Pijakkala near Kadaba on Sunday afternoon.
The deceased has been identified as Nitesh (18), son of Navura, a resident of Majjagudde near Kadaba High School. He was a student of Narimogaru ITI.
It is learnt that the mishap occurred when he along with his friends had gone to the rivulet for a swim.
Kadaba police, who received the news, rushed to the spot and are investigating. Local swimmers helped locate the body and lift it out of the water.
The deceased is survived by his father, mother, and brother.
