Kadaba community hospital inauguration along with the new taluk

A fully functional hospital building created in Kadaba at the cost of Rs 4.85 crore will be inaugurated today

Kadaba: Along with the inauguration of the new Kadaba taluk, the newly constructed building of the government hospital here which has been upgraded to a community hospital too will be inaugurated. The new building has been constructed at the cost of Rs 4.85 crore. The hospital which is fully equipped is all set for its inauguration.

The 6 beds primary health centre was upgraded 9 years back by the government into a 30 beds community hospital. Accordingly, 34 new positions have been sanctioned for Kadaba hospital including an obstetrician, four doctors including a pediatrician and a dentist. Presently, the new hospital is equipped with beds, beddings and a few essential equipments. The specialty doctors and necessary staffs are yet to be appointed for the community hospital.

8 village limits

8 villages come within the limits of the community hospital including Kadaba, Kodimbala, Bantra, 102nd Nekkilady, Kutrappady, Balya, Nujibaltila and Renjilady. But, since the people from Kuntur, Alankar, Kombar, Siribagilu, Ittur, Konaje, Kaniyur, Charvaka and Subrahmanya, Panja, Enekal, Balpa, Kenya, Edamangala in Sullia taluk make use of this hospital, its limits are extended.

Action to provide facility

“Our first aim is to provide facilities, essential equipments and appoint staffs for the community hospital. A demand has been kept before the government. All the demands will be fulfilled in phases. A proposal has been submitted to upgrade the government hospitals ay Kadaba and Moodbidri taluks into taluk level hospitals with 100 beds capacity. Kadaba hospital will also get the importance as a taluk hospital,” said Dr Ramakrishna Rao, District Health Officer
