Kadaba: Police officials on Friday took a man into custody for allegedly trying to convert the faith of a widow in Kottary in Kodimbala village, Kadaba.
It is said that the widow woman was an acid attack victim and was living with her two daughters in Kottary. The accused man would often visit her and also stay at her house.
A few local Hindu organizations noticed the man visiting the house and also found books and other objects relating to Christianity in the woman’s house.
On Thursday night, the man visited the woman’s house again and the Hindu organizations informed the police officials who took the man into custody.
It is being alleged that the woman was in a depression after the acid attack by her brother-in-law over a land dispute and the man taking advantage of her helplessness was trying to convert her to Christianity.
Further investigations are underway.
