Kadaba: Passenger vehicle catches fire; gutted

Kadaba: According to a report from Kadaba, a passenger vehicle transporting passengers caught fire suddenly. The incident took place on Kallugudde road, at Kadaba in Puttur on Thursday morning. Fortunately no life was lost and no passengers were hurt in the incident.

Since this is a rural area, the people from this region mostly depend upon jeeps and mini passenger vehicles to travel to the market. Similarly, a Tata Magic Iris vehicle which was taking passengers from Kallugudde and as it was reaching Mulimajalu, the vehicle started catching fire. The driver of the vehicle immediately stopped the vehicle beside the road. Even as the driver was asking the passengers in the vehicle to alight from the vehicle, the flames started growing and in moments, completely engulfed the vehicle.

It is being said that the fire is a result of some technical problem in the vehicle. Anyhow, due to the quick thinking of driver of the vehicle no lives were lost and a major incident was averted. The vehicle was gutted in this incident.
