Pradeep, a patrol vehicle driver attached to the Kadaba Police Station has cleared the PSI (Police Sub-Inspector) examination by self-study and without any formal coaching.
Pradeep used his mobile phone to prepare for the examination during his free time on duty. Alongside him, Muttappa, a staff member from the Bantwal Police Station, also cleared the examination. Appointment orders for both are awaited.
Both of them had earlier cleared the PSI examination in 2021, with Pradeep securing 13th rank statewide. However, their recruitment was canceled due to allegations of irregularities in the examination. Undeterred by this, they wrote the exam and succeeded once again.
Despite their demanding duties, both cops prepared for the exam by gathering study materials and revising during breaks. Neither of them attended any coaching classes.
Pradeep hails from Avinamara village in Holenarasipura taluk, Hassan district, and is the second of three siblings. He says that his wife’s support played a major role in him achieving his goal. Muttappa, originally from Sulebhavi village in Hunagund taluk, Bagalkot district, is the fifth child of a daily wage laborer couple.
