Kadaba: Viral video of men carrying ailing old lady on shoulder gets a twist

Subramanya: A few days back, a video that had gone viral in which two men were seen carrying an ailing 70-year-old lady on their shoulders, has now got a twist.

The video was reported from Balakka of Kadaba’s Noojibalthila village allegedly showing the pathetic condition of roads.

But on Thursday, August 25, from the old lady’s house, a jeep carrying a load of arecanut was seen making its way on the same road.

Enraged by this, the locals took the men to task. They lambasted them asking what the motive was behind spreading misinformation about the road condition.

Meanwhile, the Noojibalthila Gram Panchayat members suspect it to be an act of tarnishing the image of the local legislator and the Gram Panchayat.

The locals said that the jeep was moving around hassle-free for two to three days on the same road, in spite of heavy rains.
