Kadri Manjunatha temple: Special prayers performed to eliminate COVID-19

Mangaluru: Special prayers and rituals were performed at the Kadri Manjunatha temple here on the morning of Sunday, March 15 seeking the elimination of the novel coronavirus and bring relief to virus-affected countries and people.

Prof. M B Puranik, VHP leader; Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, district unit president of Kannada Sahitya Parishat and Yogesh Bhat, former legislative assembly member were present at the ceremony.

MLA Vedavyasa Kamath, who had prayed for the cause at the temple on Saturday, March 14, had requested all places of worship to offer special prayers seeking to eliminate the epidemic and bring relief to the country and other countries affected by it.

The ceremonies performed at the temple included Dhanwantari japa, Rudrapatana and Vishnusahasranama
