Mumbai: Kajol’s next film, directed by Pradeep Sarkar, is slated to hit the theatres on September 14, the makers say.

The movie, tentatively titled “Eela”, also features this year’s National Award for Best Actor winner Riddhi Sen, who will play Kajol’s son and Neha Dhupia, who will essay the role of a drama instructor.

The movie is an adaptation of Anand Gandhi’s Gujarati play, “Beta Kaagdo”. Kajol plays a single parent in the film, which revolves around the relationship shared by a mother and son.

The film is produced by Ajay Devgn and Jayantilal Gada (Pen India Limited).
