Kalaburagi: A horrific collision between a Mahindra pickup goods vehicle and a car has claimed the lives of four persons. The accident occurred early Saturday morning, near Maragutti Cross in Kamalapura Taluk.

The deceased have been identified as Bhargav Krishna (55) from Hyderabad, his wife Sangeetha (45), and their son Uttam Raghavan (28). The police have not yet been able to identify the car driver.

The family was reportedly on a pilgrimage to the Dattatreya Temple in Ganagapura, Afzalpura Taluk. According to Kamalapura Police, the car might have collided with the goods vehicle either due to poor visibility or the driver’s drowsiness.

CPI Shivashankar Sahu, PSI Asha Rathod, and police personnel Kishan and Kupendra, who arrived at the scene, transported the deceased to the Kamalapura Primary Health Centre. Police investigations are ongoing.
