Kalaburagi: B.Sc second semester student Rakshitha has got an opportunity to spend a day with Deputy Commissioner Yeshwanth V Gurukar and observe his daily work routine.

Rakshitha got this opportunity after winning first place in the district-level essay writing competition under the title “Kaushalya Spoorthi”, organized by the Karnataka Skill Development Authority (KSDA) on World Youth Skill Day on Friday, July 15.

Expressing her feelings, Rakshitha said, “I feel proud to get this opportunity. I had submitted an essay online on World Youth Skill Day on how to utilize our skills apart from education.”

Meanwhile, DC Yashwanth briefed her and her father Vishwakarma, who is a carpenter by profession, about the routine. Later, he informed them that he would drop them home in his official vehicle.

Rakshitha is currently pursuing her academics at Smt. Veeramma Gangasiri College for Women, Kalaburagi.
