Kalaburagi: Dentist stabbed in front of DC’s office; accused detained

Kalaburagi: An incident where a dentist was stabbed with a knife in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office here occurred on Tuesday.

The accused has been arrested by the police.

The dentist has been identified as Dr Vishwanath Patil.

The accused, Srinivas, a Surapura resident, had previously received dental treatment from Dr Patil.

The accused had stabbed Dr Patil in the stomach after Dr Patil parked his car and was walking into the hospital on Tuesday morning.

The exact cause of the stabbing is not yet known.

Dr Patil is currently receiving treatment at a hospital. The accused Srinivas is in the custody of Station Bazaar Police Station and is being investigated.
