Kalasa Banduri leaders take Vatal Nagaraj to task for observing bandh

Huballi: Kalasa-Banduri agigation leaders took leader of the Kannada Chalavali Vatal Paksha (KCVP), Vatal Nagaraj to task for calling state wide bandh in connection with the Kalasa Banduri water dispute on January 25th.

While addressing the press meet in Huballi, many Kalasa Banduri agitation leaders criticized Vatal Nagaraj for disturbing normal life and causing serious problem to the common man, who ultimately gets affected by calls for a bandh. The leaders denied any such support for the bandh. The leaders also asked Vatal to withdraw the bandh during the Prime Minister’s visit to Karnataka.

The leaders said that there has been more than 10 bandhs regarding the Kalasa Banduri project in the state but all the efforts has gone in vain but has only affected the normal life of the common man.

However, Vatal Nagaraj did not pay heed to the Kalasa Banduri leaders and walked out of the press meet and said that the bandh will be observed on January 25 at any cost.
