Mangaluru: In a tragic accident, a bike rider died on the spot after a lorry rammed into his two-wheeler near Kallapu along the national highway 66 here on Sunday April 21.
The deceased has been identified as Jerome D’Souza (68), a resident of Mitranagar, Kumpala.
The deceased was riding his bike from Jeppu to Kumpala and as he reached Kallapu, a speeding lorry hit rear of his bike. The impact hurled Jerome on to the road and within moments he came under the wheels of the lorry and lost his life on the spot.
A case in this connection has been registered by Mangaluru South traffic police.
