Kanakapura: 6 killed in car-KSRTC bus head-on collision

Ramanagara: Six people were killed and several others were injured in a horrific collision between a car and a KSRTC bus at Kanakapura on Monday.

The deceased were the occupants of the Qualis car that was involved. All were killed on the spot due to the impact of the head-on collision.

Several bus passengers also sustained injuries.

The incident took place near Kemmale Gate at Sathanur. It is gathered that the occupants of the car were returning from Male Mahadeshwara.

According to PTI, of the six victims, five have been identified as Nagesh, Puttaraju, Jothirlingappa (car owner), Govinda, and Kumar. The victims were said to be pilgrims from Chandapura in Bengaluru.

Sathanur police reached the spot and are investigating.
