Kaniyoor: The bodies of the two youths, who were on the car that plummeted over a bridge into a rivulet at Baithadka here, were recovered on Tuesday morning.
Both bodies were about 200 meters away from the accident spot. One was found clinging to wood near the shore, while the other was found nearby.
With the rains subsiding, the water level in the rivulet reduced considerably, aiding the search operations.
The speeding car had plunged into the stream on the Manjeshwar-Subrahmanya state highway in Kaniyoor on Sunday night at around 12.30 am.
A search operation carried out later had found the car wreckage, but the youths who were in the car — Dhanush (26) from Kundadka in Vittal town and his brother-in-law Dhanush (21) from Manjeshwar– had remained untraceable.
