Kannada Sahitya Parishat to hold elections on May 9, results on May 12

Bengaluru: Elections to the Kannada Sahitya Parishat (Kannada Literary Council) will be held on May 9 and on May 12 results of the election to the president will be declared, informed central electoral officer GM Gangadharswamy.

“Applications from candidates will be accepted between March 29 and April 7. On May 9, voting will be held from 8 am to 4 pm in about 400 booths across the State,” he added.

“Results of the elections to the district presidents of the Parishat will be published on May 9, while election results for the president of Parishat units in border areas would be announced on May 11,” he said.
