Kannada TV actress Pavitra Jayaram passes away in car accident

Popular Kannada television actress Pavitra Jayaram was killed on the spot in a road mishap near Mehbooba Nagar in Andhra Pradesh on Sunday.

A native of Mandya’s Hanakere, Pavitra had acted in Telugu television series ‘Trinayani’ in which she played the character of Thilottama. She made her television debut with the Kannada film ‘Robo Family’ and has acted in serials like ‘Jokali’, ‘Neeli’ and ‘Radharamana’.

Reportedly the mishap took place after the car driver lost control of the vehicle and hit the divider. At the moment a bus is said to have rammed into their car. Pavitra was seriously injured and died on the spot. Three other occupants, including the car driver sustained serious injuries.

The television fraternity is shocked by her sudden demise. More details on the accident are awaited from the police.
