Kannur: NIA gets 7-day custody of two women for allegedly propagating ISIS ideology

Kasargod: Two women, who were taken into custody by the sleuths of the National Investigation Agency (NIA) here for allegedly propagating the ideology of Islamic State terror group through social media have been remanded to NIA custody for seven days.
The NIA had earlier carried out raids at residences of Shifa Haris and Misha Siddique following the arrest of another member of their group from Kannur in March this year. They were arrested on Tuesday.
They were produced in Kannur magistrate court after which NIA had taken their custody.
The group in which they were active members allegedly propagated IS ideology through a social media platform called Chronicle Foundation.
