Kapu: 200 kg beef seized from illegal slaughterhouse at Mallar

Kapu: Police seized 200kg of beef during a raid on an illegal slaughterhouse operating near Badagaraguthu of Mallar village on Sunday morning.
Police said the cattle were being illegally slaughtered in the backyard of a bottling factory near Badagaraguthu.
Two persons were found to be illegally slaughtering the cattle. One of the accused, Mohammed Arif, a resident of Kapu Bharath Nagar was apprehended, whereas the other accused managed to escape.
Two severed heads of cattle, 200 kg of Beef, a sword, knife, nylon rope, and a bike were seized from the spot, police added.
A case has been registered at the Kapu police station in this regard. An investigation is underway.
