Kapu: Budding photographer Pritesh Suvarna (38), a resident of Kapu Polipu, succumbed to the injuries on Thursday. He had sustained serious injuries in an accident 5 days ago and was receiving treatment at a hospital here.

Prithesh worked at the Malpe fishing port and worked as a photographer during his free time.  On February 4, Preetsh was injured when a scooter he was travelling on, with his friend Prashant Kumar, skidded. As a result, both sustained serious injuries.

Both were taken to Udupi District Hospital. Prithesh was later referred to another hospital in Manipal for advanced medical treatment. However, as the family could not bear the high cost of the treatment, he was shifted back to Udupi District Hospital.
