Kapu: One killed, two injured after scooty hits pedestrian

Kapu: A scooty hit a pedestrian on the National Highway 66 at Muloor here, on Thursday night, killing one person and injuring two others.

The deceased has been identified as Suresh L Puthran (40). Harish Salian and Eeranna were injured in the accident.

Harish and Suresh were returning home on the scooty after finishing fishing work at Malpe. The two-wheeler hit Eeranna who was walking beside the highway near Muloor. As a result, Suresh who was riding pillion, was critically injured.

Harish was also seriously injured while Eeranna fractured his leg, sources said. The locals came to their rescue and shifted all three to the hospital, where Suresh was declared dead.

A case has been resgistered at the Kapu police station in this regard.
