Kapu: Two accused have been arrested by Kapu police in connection to the recent theft of a woman’s necklace at Innanje village. The accused are identified as Krishna Narasimha Shastri (27) and Vijay Kumar (21).
Recently, Shanta Acharya of Moodamane in Innanje village was on her way to gather grass for her cows, when the two accused arrived on a bike and snatched away her necklace. A case in this connection was registered at Kapu police station.
Of the arrested accused, Krishna Narasimha Shastri is a present resident of Pallugudde at Mattu village and originally from Raichur. It is learnt that the other accused Vijay Kumar is from Bagalakot.
With the arrest of the accused, the cops have recovered the gold necklace worth Rs 50,000 besides, a Honda Shine bike and Rs 10,000 in cash has been seized from the accused.
