Karavali: Light rain possible

Mangaluru: The heat in Dakshina Kannada district on Sunday was more with the highest and lowest temperatures in the district at 34 and 24 degree Celsius respectively.

With Shivratri in the vicinity, light rain was experienced at various locations in Belthangady on Saturday night. The sky was cloudy in the evening. The light rain started at around 10 pm in the night at several locations including Mundaje, Somantadka, Ujire and Gerukatte.

Since there is a surface storm in the southern hinterlands, light rains may be expected along the malnad, informed the weather department officials.
