Karkala: Case filed against 5 for cheating woman

‎Karkala:‎‎ A case has been registered against five persons on May 17 at the Karkala city police station in connection with the cheating of a woman.‎

‎The case was registered after Usha Jayanth, a resident of Kukkundur taluk against the promoters of the Samriddhi Hills residential and commercial complex in Karkala Kasaba.

The complainant alleged that Suresh Shetty, Bhaskara Bairi Shetty, Balabandu B, Satish Sundar Shetty, and Ramesh Kumar Gomal had cheated her and her husband on the pretext of providing apartments in the Smriddhi Hills complex. The promoters took money from them but did not abide by their promise, the complaint said.
