Karkala: Home nurse steals Rs 9.8 lakh using employer’s Google Pay PIN

Karkala: A 75-year-old resident of Kasaba village was defrauded of Rs 9.8 lakh by his home nurse. A complaint in this regard has been registered at Karkala Town Police Station.
The accused, Karthik Shetty, had been referred via Elite Care agency to work as a home nurse for Shashidhar.
Ratnakar, an agency representative, has also been named as an accused in the case, with Karthik as the primary accused.
As per the complaint, Karthik observed Shashidar’s Google Pay PIN during a money transfer transaction. Using this PIN, he reportedly transferred Rs 9.8 lakh from Shashidhar’s account to his own via Google Pay. The police have initiated an investigation into the matter, and further details are awaited.
