Karkala man dies in Nigeria Port

Karkala: A man from Karkala died in the Nigerian Port after he slipped and fell into an oil tanker in the ship.

Arnold Adolf Castelino is the person deceased.

Arnold was employed in a ship. While Arnold along with his two colleagues were working in the ship, he accidentally slipped into oil tanker. The ship authorities said that they had recovered his mortal remains from the oil tanker and they would be handed over to the family after certain procedures.

“We received a message from company’s Mumbai office on Monday evening saying that Arnold met with an accident. A captain and a engineer from company’s Mumbai office visited us and gave further details. We have requested the company to send the body directly to Mangaluru,” said Vincent Castelino, cousin of Arnold Castelino.

Arnold is survived by wife Pramila Joyce Castellino and brother Amar Castellino.
