Karkala: Man killed in head-on collision between bus, pickup van

Karkala: The driver of a pick-up van was killed after a speeding bus rammed into his vehicle at Dugganaraya Chadavu in Karkala’s Hirgana on Monday, September 12.
The deceased has been identified as Santosh Nayak, a resident of Nellikatte.
It is gathered that the bus was headed towards Bengaluru from Hebri while the pickup vehicle was travelling towards Nellikatte from Hirgana.
Eyewitnesses said that the bus driver was overspeeding and this led to the mishap.
A case has been registered at Karkala police station.
