Karkala native Dr. Shrish Shetty wins Rs 12.5 lakhs in KBC

Shirva: Dr. Shrish Satish Shetty, a native of Karkala Taluk’s Ninjuru Moodumane, has won Rs 12.5 lakhs on the popular TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) broadcasted on Sony TV. His episode aired on October 10 and 11.

Dr. Shetty successfully answered 12 questions to win the prize money. For the 13th question, he was asked to name the candidate who contested the 1971 Mumbai North-East Lok Sabha seat. The options provided were: Gen. K.M. Cariappa, Vijay Tendulkar, Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, and Raj Kapoor. Uncertain of the correct answer, he chose to step back from the contest, securing Rs 12.5 lakhs.

Dr. Shrish Satish Shetty hails from Moodumane, Ninjuru, and is the son of Shrivalli Shetty and Satish Shetty. He is currently residing in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

He completed his MBBS from GMERS Medical College, Valsad, Gujarat, and is presently pursuing his MD at BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad.
