Karkala police head constable goes missing mysteriously

Padubidri: A 35-year-old head constable, attached to Karkala Town police station has reportedly gone missing as per a complaint lodged by his wife.

The missing person identified as Shrutin Shetty, a resident of Angadimane near Kaup Janardhana Temple, had been promoted to the post of head constable two months ago.

His wife Pooja Shetty, in her complaint lodged with Padubidri police, stated that Shrutin had called her to inform her that he would be coming home on October 19. However, he did not arrive home nor has he reported for duty at his workplace. His mobile phone too is switched off.

Police have begun an investigation and examined the CCTV footage.

Physical characteristics:

Shrutin is 178cm tall and of muscular build. He speaks Tulu, Kannada, Hindi, and English. Police have requested anyone who has any information about him to contact Padubidri Police Station (0820 2555452).
