Karkala: Rowdy sheeter and his friends arrested for cutting cake with sword

Karkala: A rowdy sheeter and his associates were arrested by the city police for cutting cake using a sword.

The arrested are Jitendra Shetty, Suraj Salyan, Tanuj Karkera, Anvish, Niranjan Shettigar, Ganesh Poojary, Sarat Shetty of Palima.

Case details: 

A photo of Jitendra Shetty and his friends cutting a cake went viral on social media platforms. The incident took place on May 30.

Following the incident, an FIR was registered under the Arms Act and other sections of the Indian Penal Code at the police station.

Based on the complaint the police arrested the accused and also seized the weapons during the arrested.
